These Fees are Bananas…

The parade has lots of expenses: permitting, port-a-potties, insurance, advertising, and many other items. This is not a money-making venture and in most years, we’re lucky if we can cover the event with entry fees alone. Committee members are not paid, but are volunteers. Without paid entries, we cannot have a parade.

But here in Northside, we don’t think fees of any kind should create a burden. Everyone should have access to basics like affordable housing, healthcare, education, and participation in the Northside Fourth of July Parade! If you are able to cover the fee for your group, PLEASE DO because we have bills to pay. But if this creates an undue burden on your group or nonprofit please email us at NorthsideParade@gmail.com.
